Dungeons & Dragons’ Charity Epic: “The Last Light”

at Gamezenter

“The Last Light” is a Dungeons & Dragons’ 5th Edition epic, an adventure that multiple tables of gamers participate in at one time. The participants play at different levels but under one main storyline, meaning what happens at one table can impact the entire group of players!

Your castled community of Haseton is under threat as a mysterious creature has captured an artifact that stops time. The creature will use the artifact the following evening, at the height of an eclipse, casting the world into endless darkness. Destroy the creature and the artifact before darkness prevails! (****Be sure to click on “Discussions” in the Event to discover more information about this epic!)

Heroes B&B’s professsional Game Masters will be leading “The Last Light.” Heroes B&B’s D&D adventures and their unique style of play has been rated 5 stars by more than 130 gamers throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.

“The Last Light” is a unique epic adventure created by Heroes B&B for large gaming events and
debuted successfully in the summer 2021 at a Duluth, Minn., event that featured nearly 40 players. It also was presented as a charity event in Green Bay in 2022. (See comments from players who have participated in past Heroes B&B epics below.)

The epic will be held for 8 hours, starting at 10:30 am and ending at 6:30 pm. It will include a one-hour meal break and a silent auction featuring lots of must-have D&D items. Three tiers of playing levels will be available for participants, including Tier 1 (Level 5), Tier 2 (Level 10), and Tier 3 (Level 15).
COST: Tier 1 and Tier 2 are $65 per player for the 7 hours of gaming. Tier 3 is $85 per player. Tier 3 players will play on digital encounter maps – shown on flatscreen TVs – for about half of the epic. They also will be part of a final encounter that will feature 3D battle terrain and perhaps the most memorable encounter of their D&D-playing careers. A limited number of Tier 3 spots will be available and be sold at a first-come, first-serve basis. Contact Heroes B&B through this event or through its Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/HeroesBnB, to secure your spot and pay via Venmo. **Heroes B&B will need at least 20 participants to hold this event.

“The Last Light” charity event will be held on behalf of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund (childrenscancer.org), a national nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood cancer. All event proceeds will benefit this children’s cancer research fund.

Participants will be able to create their own characters using parameters that Heroes B&B will provide. These parameters will be provided in the “Discussion” area of the event.

Five stars is not enough to showcase how much FUN I had with Heroes B&B. The GMs did an amazing job with storytelling and combat facilitation. Hands down the most fun I’ve had with D&D. I can’t wait to do it again!!“-Dominick S.

I attended an epic D&D game that had six tables at one time! All were part of the same story but on different missions. It was so crazy how one’s table actions affected another. Even if you are a beginner, by the end of the game you are gonna start looking for your own special dice for your next game! Thanks for a great time!!!” -Anastasia P.

The D&D event that Heroes B&B put on was epic. It was a great deal of fun and for someone who is not the greatest at D&D, they provide a great deal of help to make sure the experience is a good one.” – Michael M.

We felt suspense, we laughed, we strategized and imagined. I had a blast, so did everyone I talked to from our large group, which Heroes B&B guided so well.” -Brian E.

The 1 day charity campaign was the best of D&D mixed with the added fun of playing alongside other groups towards a common goal! I can’t say enough about how knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining our GM was! Thanks Heroes B&B for a great day!” -Laura K.

Had a great time at this epic campaign!! Cannot wait to join another party.” -Jason R.
