Pop-Up Gen Con is coming to Gamezenter September 17-18.

One of the ways we’re bringing the Gen Con experience home to Roseville is by letting attendees play the hottest new Gen Con releases without making the trip to Indianapolis.

Here’s an updated list of some of those Gen Con-premiering games and their publishers:

Forbidden Games – Dungeon Party

Dungeon Party is an easy-to-learn, raucous, play-anywhere, social role-playing game, where the rooms, monsters, and treasures are all on bar coasters. Players take turns bouncing a coin to ‘hit’ the monsters, disarm traps, or avoid cursed rooms. Players work together to survive the dungeon and gather the most loot, but there can only be one winner.

Pandasaurus Games – Dinosaur Island: Rawr ’n Write

In Dinosaur Island: Rawr ‘n Write, your goal is to build the best dang dinosaur theme park you can! You do this by collecting DNA to make Dinosaurs, hiring Specialists to use their unique abilities, and building Attractions and special Buildings to enhance your visitor experience.

Rather Dashing Games – Captured Moments – A Downton Abbey Game

Featuring multiple ways to acquire points, secret scoring goals, and the Royal Staff waylaying even the best laid plans, Captured Moments will engage your players in a fun, lighthearted journey through the scenes of Downton Abbey the motion picture.

Ravensburger – Taco Bell Party Pack Card Game

In Taco Bell Party Pack Card Game, players gather various kinds of Taco Bell menu items, including crunchy tacos, bean burritos and Freezes, in an attempt to feed a crew of Taco Bell fans. Each member of a player’s crew comes with specific cravings that need to be sated and doing so earns crave chips — tokens that look like tortilla chips and that have a surprise amount of points to reveal at the end of the game.

Renegade Games Studio – Gravwell (2nd ed)

You’re among a flotilla of ships that survived passing through a black hole. The fabric of space and the general physics you’ve known have changed. You quickly discover that your engines are offline, but you can navigate crudely using your tractor and repulsor beams. By mining asteroids and collecting raw elements from space dust, you muster just enough force to move your spacecraft.  You lock onto another object, perhaps a spacecraft, and creep toward it. But just as you’re about to engage your tractor beam, its captain engages his beam, catapulting his ship past you. If you don’t act quickly, you’ll be pulled the wrong direction! It’s a real mind-bender!

SlugFest Games – Dungeon Decorators

You are a dungeon decorator who specializes in setting up cozy underground spaces with just the right “lair-y” feel for your clients. You will compete against your opponents to build the best dungeon with all the right accoutrements, so that your villainous clients can move in, feel at home, and get right down to evilling.

Steamforged Games – Godtear: The Borderlands & Eternal Glade Starter Sets

Godtear is a dynamic tabletop combat game for two players. Taking control of your warband, you’ll fight to claim godtears, ascend the throne of immortality, and gain untold power. These box set include everything you need for two players to get started!

Usaopoly | The Op – Disney Mickey And Friends Food Fight

A nostalgic invitation to play inspired by the Mickey Short “No Service”! It’s a carefree day at the beach with your favorite Disney friends, until a lunchtime food fight ensues! Get in on a chaos of concessions by tossing different dishes and treats from the Snack Shack to clear your tray the fastest!

Wyrd Games – Bayou Bash

Bayou Bash is a chaotic racing game for 2-4 players filled with rambunctious racers who will do anything to win over the most fans before crossing the finish line. Each player takes control of a racer with unique abilities and must battle for victory across the customizable track while gaining fans along the way.

And more…

We’ve got other publishers and other games lining up in the background, and will be announcing them soon!

While Pop-Up Gen Con will be free to attend, you’ll need to buy a $5 ticket from Gen Con to participate in the limited, official events. Registering also gets you an official badge and lanyard, and an unannounced packet of goodies.

And don’t forget! Gamezenter will be hosting a number of tournaments, game demos, and other special events. Things are starting to fall into place. If you don’t want to miss out any details and updates, you should subscribe to our mailing list below, or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
